Kigali Conversation

When: Wednesday, August 12th
Time: 6 pm to 8:30 pm
Where: Goethe-Institut
Cost: Free!

Organized by Yutaka Sho of General Architecture Collaborative and Tyler Survant of SHoP Architects.

Moderated by architecture students of University of Rwanda.

This conversation hopes to create an atmosphere in which people from various backgrounds can speak candidly about issues surrounding land security and policies in on-going development projects in Rwanda.

From housing to high rise offices, commercial and sustenance farming, and waste management and energy extraction, land is where global development pressures and local aspirations collide. In this conversation, land is understood as a material witness to spatial practices of resilience, sustainability and security, or the lack thereof.
